Sources " Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula" (an organization banned in the Russian Federation) released a video of a UN employee kidnapped by militants in Yemen.
Bangladeshi citizen Akam Soful Anam, along with four other aid workers, was kidnapped on his way to the port city of Aden in February 2022.
In the footage, Anam appealed to the international community and humanitarian organizations to comply with the kidnappers' demands and obtain the release of the hostages.
The man noted that he and his two friends are seriously ill and may die if they are not given medical attention. According to Anam, the United States, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are interfering in negotiations with jihadists.
