US House Speaker McCarthy: Progress on Debt Ceiling

Speaker of the US House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy said that the executive and legislative branches of the government are close to an agreement to increase the national debt ceiling. This decision will allow the country to avoid insolvency.
If the debt ceiling is not raised, the US will not be able to repay its financial obligations in the first half of June.
