Russian President Vladimir Putin he declared that the time for self-determination had come for the country. He said this during a video message in honor of the opening of the Academy of Creative Industry in the Tavrida art cluster.
According to him, Russia respects world culture and does not seek to “abolish” it. But the country “doesn't need guidelines or standards that are rudely imposed from the outside” and stifle originality.
“For us, now is actually a time of self-determination, a fight for the right to be ourselves,” he said.
p>He also pointed out that culture and art, which should unite people, are now at the center of geopolitical confrontation. However, Russian culture has a special message that speaks of mercy, mutual respect and spiritual and moral foundations.
