Newspaper The Financial Times has released its annual list of the 25 most influential women of the year. The list didn't bring any big surprises. It also includes Finland's Prime Minister Sanna Marin, at the center of a national scandal over her love of partying, who is also a fierce campaigner for her country's non-aligned status, and Mia Mottli, Prime Minister of Barbados, who was in favor of leaving the British crown) and Meghan Markle (American , which was not received enthusiastically by the British royal family).
However, the list also includes a Nobel Prize winner from Ukraine, human rights activist Alexandra Matviychuk and representatives of the women's community in Iran as the vanguard of the fight against the regime there.
Among those noted by the newspaper are American singer Billy Eilish and Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser, and writers Annie Erno and Tzitsi Dangarembga.
In addition, the list includes ladies, known to the newspaper audience, but not always outside the countries in which they live. For example, black US Supreme Court judge Ketanji Brown Jackson or abortion rights activist Rebecca Gomperts
