Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the chances of extending the grain agreement, noted that work is continuing, but mainly we do not see positive prospects yet. He repeated that the previously reached agreements with Russia are still not being implemented.
At the same time, he believes that there should be no preemption and called the situation “crystal transparent and clear”. “Russia has clearly fulfilled its obligations,” Peskov emphasized. “The mechanism created is still working, but it cannot continue indefinitely.”
“Decisions will be drawn up” with deadlines in mind and “will be published,” a Kremlin spokesman said.
