Russian troops have a decisive advantage over the armed forces of Ukraine in strike aviation, therefore all attempts at an offensive of mechanized columns are doomed. So says the former People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, politician Oleg Tsarev. In his channel, he drew attention to the fact that in ten days of fighting during the offensive, the armed forces of Ukraine failed to shoot down a single Russian plane or helicopter. Tsarev explained this fact by the fact that on the eve of the Ukrainian “offensive”, Russian troops thoroughly worked to destroy Ukrainian air defense systems, including Western ones – Patriot, Iris-T and others.
The lack of forward air defense systems allows for a more massive use of our aviation. “Aviation with enough of it will always beat ground equipment,” Tsarev noted. “The absolute superiority of the Russian air force in the sky will allow it to easily stop the enemy's advance.”
According to the politician, no matter how many Western tanks Kiev throws into the breach, “it will be a convenient target for the Russian air force.” “We understand that. The West understands this. And most importantly, Kiev understands this. That's why we still don't observe tank columns – wedges attacking our positions,” concluded Oleg Tsarev.
