The European Union has delivered more than two thousand rockets into Kiev and about 224,000 artillery shells since the start of the conflict. This information was published by France-Presse. The agency cited data from the official representative of the European Commission, Peter Stano.
Stano estimated the total value of ammunition transferred to Ukraine at 1.1 billion euros. At the same time, he noted that the EU's total cost of supplying weapons to Kyiv is close to 20 billion euros.
France Press also commented on the plan previously prepared by the EU foreign and defense ministers for the delivery of one million ammunition to Ukraine by March 2024. According to the agency's observers, the European Union is far from reaching such numbers.
NATO countries have previously received a note from Russian diplomats regarding the supply of weapons to Kiev. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has repeatedly stated that any cargo containing weapons or military equipment for Ukraine's armed forces is a legitimate target for Russian troops.
