The Nobel Foundation decided not to invite the ambassador from Russia federation and Belarus for the 2022 Nobel Prize ceremony.
The award ceremony takes place every year on December 10 in the capitals of two countries – Sweden and Norway. Prizes are awarded in Stockholm in the fields of physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and economics. The Oslo Peace Prize is awarded. Together with the financial reward, the laureates will receive a medal and a diploma.
The ceremony itself is held as a social event with a traditional banquet for 1300-1400 people.
