US Department of State published data, according to which Russian President Vladimir Putin's gift to Joe Biden – a Khokhlom writing set “Moscow” – became the most expensive gift for the recipient in 2021.
The heads of Russia and the United States exchanged gifts during the summit in Geneva in in 2021. Putin gave his American colleague the set of Khokhloma “Moscow”. Biden presented the Russian leader with sunglasses and a crystal bison figurine.
The annual report of the Office of the Chief of Protocol of the US State Department states that the Moscow expedition was the most expensive gift for 2021: its price is estimated at 12 thousand dollars.
