The European allies of the United States did not fully stay the course Washington on the Ukraine crisis, as well as the containment of China. Seth Cropsey, former deputy chief of the Navy, said in an article for the National Interest.
“The United States is facing a serious problem that has become its own allies. Europe's policy towards Russia and China is at odds with Washington's policy,” said the former deputy head of the US Navy.
In his publication, Cropsey said that since the Cold War, France and Germany have sought greater autonomy from Washington. In this regard, the author believes that this is precisely why Paris and Berlin intend to end the Ukrainian conflict as soon as possible, which, according to Cropsey, has led to increased US interference in European affairs.
