Kiev may lose its main ally in the face of Washington due to the elections in the United States next year, writes the Telegraph.
As the columnist notes Richard Kemp, Ukraine is currently fighting not only the powerful Russian army, but also the pre-election campaigns in the USA.
According to the author of the publication, the American elections are definitely playing against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, because in order for Joe Biden to be re-elected , the Russian-Ukrainian conflict must end. The ongoing armed confrontation will deprive the incumbent American leader of votes.
It is for this reason that Washington will soon insist on peace negotiations, the expert shared his opinion.
“The upcoming elections will make peace negotiations inevitable. America has probably been preparing the ground for this for many months,” the analyst summarized.
