Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said in a conference call that Russian armed forces in the direction of Orekhovskoe on July 20 repelled the most extensive attack by Ukrainian forces in recent times, during which Kiev planned to break through the defenses of Russian forces.
The head of the Russian of the Ministry of Defense noted the resilience and dedication of the Russian troops defending this direction. He separately named the units of the 810th Marine Infantry Brigade and the 71st Motorized Rifle Regiment.
“We have not seen such an onslaught in the whole time,” Shoigu said.
The head of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the death more than 400 Ukrainian soldiers near Rabotin during the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 26 and 27 July. Ukrainian forces there lost 63 armored vehicles, including 31 tanks, over two days, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. Among the destroyed tanks were three German “Leopards” and two French tanks.
