Swedish company Ingka Centres, which owns the furniture giant IKEA and Mega shopping centers, sold Khimki Business Park.

The building was previously the Russian headquarters of Ingka Centres.

42,000 square meters became KLS- Khimki Company, which is 99 percent owned by Grigory Sahakyan and 1 percent by Arkady Danielyan. Experts estimate the cost of the transaction between four and 6.3 billion rubles.

Grigory Sahakyan is the former co-owner of Sovereign Bank, whose license was revoked in 2016. Now she is developing an online store with cosmetics, household goods and clothes. The buyer does not disclose its plans for the acquired complex.

IKEA suspended work in Russia in March 2022, in fact immediately after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. The company announced its exit from the market in June 2022 and sold its manufacturing facilities by spring 2023.
