Ukraine will be without years “as always” against those who plundered the country and set themselves above the law. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky in his video message on the Telegram channel after the arrest of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.
“But certainly without many years of “as always” in relation to those who robbed Ukraine and placed them above the law and any rules ,” Zelenskyy said.
In addition, the head of state thanked law enforcement authorities for their “determination to bring each of the cases to a just outcome,” which had been hindered for decades.
In on Saturday, September 2, the SBU detained businessman Igor Kolomojski on suspicion of violating two articles of the country's criminal code. The Kyiv Court of Shevchenkovsky chose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention for 2 months with an alternative in the form of posting a bail of more than 509 million hryvnias. At the same time, Kolomojský's lawyer said that his client will not pay the bail, and intends to appeal against the court's decision.
