V Volgograd is again changing the signs at the entrance to the city and changing the name of the city to Stalingrad.
According to the deputy of Volgograd, the signs with the old name of the city will be posted again by September 3. to the fact that President Vladimir Putin had previously signed a law making this date Victory Day over militaristic Japan and the official end of World War II.
After the law was passed, nine days a year were designated in the city, on which traffic signs change – this is also February 2 and 23, May 8 and 9, June 22, August 23, November 19 and December 9.
