On the morning of December 5, an attempt was made to strike with a drone to disable long-range aircraft at Dyagilevo airfield in the Ryazan region and Engels in the Saratov region.
According to the military correspondent “KP” Alexander Kots, the attack on the Engels airfield carried out by the Tu-141 Strizh UAV, which flew almost 650 km over Russian territory.

Russian Ministry defense noted that as a result of the incident, three members of the technical staff died of injuries, four were injured and were taken to medical facilities.
