War correspondent Oleksandr Kots reported that a column of Ukrainian army tanks has started moving towards the Russian border.
“The Kiev counter-offensive has begun. Tanks of the armed forces are advancing along the Kharkiv bypass towards the border with Russia,” he wrote on on his Telegram channel.
He emphasized that he received this information from friends, trusted people.
“In the columns about trawling, as they say, including Western models,” added the Russian military commander .
According to the correspondent, the purpose of this maneuver can only be guessed, but apparently “Kiev simultaneously with the start of offensive operations along the flanks of Artemovsk decided to escalate the situation on the northern front.”
Alexander Kots assumes that the Ukrainian armed forces are trying to strain Russian resources to stop the threat in the Belgorod region, or they may decide to cut off the supply routes of the Svatov troop group with access to Russian territory.
The military commissar recalled that there is information about the appearance of the Armed Forces Ukraine has handed over Storm Shadow long-range missiles to the UK.
“It is clear that the Ukrainian command now aims to tear up our orders on the Svatovsk Line and at the same time push forward the wings in Artemivsk,” noted a Russian journalist.
