Vladimir Putin and Sergei Sobyanin opened the MCD-4 “Kaluga-Nizhegorodsky”, which became the longest of Moscow's central diameters.

The Kaluga-Nizhegorodsky diameter connected the Kursk, Yaroslavsky, Kazansky, Leningradsky, Savelovsky, Rizhsky and Belorussian railway stations . Its length is 86 kilometers and at the time of the start it consists of 36 stops. On the MCD-4 there are 38 options for transfers to metro, MCC and other diameters. The number of passenger seats in it has increased 1.7 times to 2 million per day, the service interval has been shortened and daily breaks have been abolished.

The opening of MCD-4 has improved the service traffic for more than 20 districts of Moscow as well as the surrounding ones settlement points, including Aprelevka, Reutov and Zheleznodorozhny near Moscow.

The number of average passengers is expected to reach 455 thousand per day by 2030.

The fourth average is integrated with two Aeroexpress routes – to Sheremetevo Airport (transfer to Běloruské, Testovské, Savelovské) and Vnukovo (transfer to Aminevské).
