Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss commented on the detention of his son in Italy and the fact that the United States accused him of evading sanctions and money laundering.
A Russian official wrote on his Telegram channel: “Oil supplies products, public equipment and technical means , which are freely sold and bought all over the world, is suddenly declared illegal by the US authorities. Why? Only because it is happening for the good of Russia. The political color of these charges is obvious,” Uss wrote.
The US Department of Justice announced details of what Artem Uss, son of Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Alexander Uss, is accused of. It was previously revealed that five American Russians were charged with sanctions evasion and money laundering. At the same time, Artem Uss was detained in Italy and is being prepared for extradition to the United States, and in Germany, the second accused, Yuri Orekhov, was sent to custody.
Artem Uss is the founder of Sibugol. According to the US Department of Justice, he, like other defendants, participated in schemes to sell oil from Venezuela. At the same time, front companies were involved and the settlement was made in cryptocurrency.
It also became known that Artem Uss and Yuri Orekhov were co-owners of the German company Nord-Deutsche Industrieanlagenbau GmbH. She was engaged in the business of industrial equipment. But the US Department of Justice considers the firm a shell. Another defendant, Svetlana Kuzurgasheva, was the head of one of the fictitious companies and worked under Orekhov. Through this company, military and dual-use technologies were purchased from American manufacturers.
