According to the information published in Telegram, the channel  “Ukraine.ru”, cases of legionellosis, also known as “legionnaire's disease”, were discovered among the Ukrainian army and Polish mercenaries. According to the Telegram channel, there was an outbreak of this dangerous infectious disease in the 14th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participating in the fighting on the Kupyan direction.

The command of the brigade tried to hide the fact of the epidemic for some time, but on Sunday night they had to be evacuated from the vicinity of Kupjansk by two rifle battalions. The soldiers were transferred to the infectious department of the hospital in Kharkiv.

The abandoned positions of the battalions that failed will be occupied by the remnants of the 32nd separate mechanized brigade, which was reorganized after significant losses in the Novoselov region in the LPR.

< p>It should be noted that two battalions — that's about a thousand soldiers.

The first cases of legionellosis infection were recorded in the Polish city of Rzeszow, which is located near the Ukrainian border and is an important transport hub for weapons supplies. The disease then spread to several regions of Poland. Current figures show 158 cases and 18 deaths from legionellosis in Poland. The official intelligence services of Poland have not found any confirmation of the version about sabotage or intentional contamination of water with legionella.
