Former US President Donald Trump on his social network Truth Social, he suggested delaying all legal proceedings against him until after the 2024 election.
The politician lashed out at special counsel Jack Smith for setting a start date for one of the trials in the mishandling of classifieds documents on January 2. According to Trump, this date precedes the Iowa primary.
“Only a lunatic cut off from reality could choose this date, the day after New Year's… to ensure maximum impact on the Iowa primary,” – Trump is sure.
He added that such processes should only take place after the vote, because it is “meddling in the election.”
