Japan's Defense Ministry presents Russia as a threat to European security
The Ministry of Defense of Japan presented its annual report. In the document, the agency pointed out that the Russian Federation has become “the only and immediate threat” to the security of Europe. Such a designation in relation to our country was first mentioned in the so-called “White Paper”.
Tokyo is concerned about “Russia's external activities, its military tendencies, as well as its strategic interaction with China”.
In addition, the Japanese military is concerned about the increasing activity of the Russian Federation in the Kuril Islands, which Japan still considers its territory.
