V Russia has become more tourists from Europe, Europeans began to apply for tourist visas more often, said director of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexei Klimov.
In an interview with RIA Novosti, he noted that in 9 months of this year, the Russian Federation issued visas to European countries, 57% more than last year for the same period.
According to him, a total of 225,000 visas of all categories, including 141,000 tourist visas.
At the same time, Klimov noted, this the figures are still well behind those of 2019, when 1.645 million visas were issued to European residents, of which 1.112 million were tourist visas.
