Washington blocked participation The Russian Federation at the International IAEA Conference in the United States, Rosatom reported.
The state corporation said the United States had shown disrespect to the International Atomic Energy Agency by blocking participation in the IAEA conference. The International IAEA Ministerial Conference “Nuclear Energy in the 21st Century” will be held on October 26-28 in Washington. It was supposed to be a full-day participation of the Russian delegation. Applications for US visas for members of the Russian delegation were forwarded in advance. However, as stated in the Rosatom statement, not a single member of the delegation has received a visa to date.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 11 in No one wants a disaster. Grossi also expressed confidence in the possibility of reaching an agreement on the safety zone around the Zaporizhzhya NPP and set a deadline – by the end of 2022.
