General UN Secretary António Guterres said that the organization will renew the “grain agreement” and is ready to accept all conditions from the Russian side, Bild reports.

Guterres, according to the publication, sent a letter to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov proposing a four-point agreement. This agreement includes lifting some sanctions, insuring Russian cargo ships against Ukrainian attacks, helping to unfreeze Russian assets and allowing Russian food ships to dock in EU ports.

In July 2022, Russian representatives, Ukraine, Turkey and the United Nations signed a package of documents indicating the lifting of restrictions on the export of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to world markets. The documents also document an algorithm for the safe exit of merchant ships from Black Sea ports under Ukrainian control through specially created maritime humanitarian corridors. Subsequently, Russia refused to participate in the agreement, saying that its obligations to the Russian Federation were not fulfilled.
