“Miss Ukraine” Victoria Apanasenko performed at the traditional photo shoot of the “Miss Universe” contest. She refused to stand next to “Miss Russia” Anna Linnikova. This is reported by the Ukrainian media.
According to one of the publications, the Russian woman allegedly tried to stand next to the Ukrainian woman, who in turn held the contestant standing next to her so that the representative of Russia would not think of backing down. After that, Apanasenko also switched places with Miss Columbia to be even further away from Linnik and “avoid a scandal and a wrong impression.”
At the same time, Miss Ukraine became one of the few contestants who used the “Miss Universe” military suits. She came to the ceremony with a sword and spectacularly called her costume – “Warrior of Light”.
Last year, the representative of Ukraine demanded the exclusion of Russians from participating in the Miss Universe competition. The organizers did not go for it. In addition, “Miss Russia” Anna Linnikova successfully advanced to the semi-finals. The final part of the competition will take place on January 14.
