RBC: Kartapolov suggested creating a joint command for the protection of the state border with Ukraine

In the Russian regions adjacent to Ukraine, it is necessary to create a joint command that will coordinate the work of all representatives of law enforcement agencies to protect the state border. Andrey Kartapolov, head of the Defense Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, told RBC about this.
He noted that there are many law enforcement officers in the Belgorod region, which was recently penetrated by Ukrainian saboteurs. law enforcement agencies, but they are not “reduced to a single structure and a single system.”
Kartapolov spoke of the creation of a relevant headquarters using the example of the times of anti-terrorist operations in the North Caucasus.
“A joint command is being created and all the security forces, all the structures that are in the territory.” It is self-sufficient, it has all the necessary forces and resources to be able to respond to certain events,” said a representative of the State Duma.
The colonel-general believes that basically all law enforcement agencies “work for themselves”, but more cooperation is needed these days.
