Member of the State Duma from United Russia Sultan Khamzaev appealed to the governors with the request that, taking into account the current situation in the country and the world, they should prohibit officials from traveling abroad for the New Year holidays. MPs believe that civil servants should rest in Russia.
According to the State Duma, travel abroad can only be associated with matters of national importance.
In other cases, officials should focus on the development of regions, domestic tourism and “support for our fighters”.
