The 47-year-old Russian detained in Norway turned out to be an entrepreneur, co-founder of the Venture Investments & Yield Management (VIYM) fund Andrey Yakunin, son of the former head of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin. The company confirmed this.

The NRK TV channel previously reported the arrest of a Russian, who also has British citizenship, for launching a drone in the Svalbard region.

The foundation says that Yakunin Jr. he likes nature, photography and extreme sports. In late August, he used a drone during a trip to Svalbard. He is cooperating with the Norwegian authorities and is ready to provide all information about the innocent purposes of his vacation.
