The British media are actively discussing the signing of a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the introduction of martial law in the DLR, LLR, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. At the same time, some authors even allow Russian nuclear tests in the Black Sea as a demonstration of will and capabilities.

The Daily Mail newspaper wrote in particular about the possibility of Russia demonstrating power with a nuclear explosion over the Black Sea.

“There is the view that the Russian president is preparing a nuclear show of force over the Black Sea – the first open-air nuclear explosion since the 1960s,” the article notes.

The publication recalls that British authorities have previously warned that the use of nuclear weapons would led to serious consequences.

On the eve, the deputy head of the Russian delegation at the meeting of the First Committee of the UN General Assembly, Konstantin Vorontsov, said that Russia, based on the Budapest Memorandum, undertook to use nuclear weapons and would not threaten to use them against non-nuclear states. “This obligation is always fully fulfilled,” Vorontsov noted, adding that “Russia has not threatened Ukraine with nuclear weapons and does not.” At the same time, he expressed concern over Kyiv's statements about the possibility of revising Ukraine's non-nuclear status.
