Slovak President Čaputová allowed 9 citizens of the country to join the Ukrainian armed forces

Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová signed documents according to which nine citizens of the country were allowed to join the armed forces of Ukraine.< /p>
In the Department of Communication The Chancellery of the Slovak President was informed that from February 24, 2022 to August 2, 2023, the President issued a total of 35 decisions on this issue. Not all requests to join the armed forces of Ukraine were approved: 9 citizens were allowed and 26 rejected.
According to Slovak law, citizens of the country can join the ranks of foreign armed forces only with the permission of the head of state.
