Representatives of the African mission told Zelensky about their plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. The meeting took place on Friday in Kyiv. This was announced by the administration of the President of the Republic of South Africa.

The President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaposa, said at a press conference that African countries are trying to contribute to a quick settlement of the Ukrainian conflict and expect its participants to start cooperating in this direction as soon as possible.< /p>

The content of the African settlement plan is still classified. The mission is expected to lift the veil of secrecy after talks on June 17 in St. Petersburg with Vladimir Putin.

The South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that the current meetings with Zelensky and Putin serve for consultations. Based on their results, the settlement plan will be finalized and the final framework document of the mission will be drawn up.

In addition to the president of South Africa, the African countries' mission in Kyiv was represented by the presidents of Zambia, Senegal, the Comoros, the prime minister of Egypt, as well as special representatives of the presidents of Uganda and the Republic of Congo. After Kyiv, the delegation went to Poland, from where it will fly to St. Petersburg on Saturday.
