Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the withdrawal of troops from the settlement of Liman, Kramatorsk district.
The ministry statement said that the decision was made in connection with the threat of encirclement. The ministry also said that troops were transferred to more advantageous lines.
Defense Ministry official Igor Konashenkov said that “more than 200 Ukrainian soldiers, five tanks and nine infantry fighting vehicles” were killed in that direction in a day, however, “the enemy brought in reinforcements and continued the offensive.”
Previously, DLR chief Denis Pušilin said that “the situation is complicated”; and that in this area “guys hold on to their last strength.”
