Vladimir Putin in this intends to hold a large press conference this year. The event is already planned and its format will depend on how the epidemiological situation in the country develops, said Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov. The exact date has not yet been announced in the Kremlin.
Putin's large press conferences have been held since 2001. They are usually held in person, but last year, due to a pandemic, the event was partly held in a non-standard format. The president himself was at his headquarters in Novo-Ogarevo and communicated with journalists via video link.
In addition, ordinary citizens interviewed the heads of state, so the press conference was connected to a direct line – another traditional format of Putin's communication with the Russians.
