Italian Defense Minister: “Ukraine's attempt to regain territory is full of questions and uncertainties”

The outcome of the UAF counteroffensive is unpredictable. And the Ukrainian attempt to return the territory itself is full of questions and uncertainties, and the Ukrainians themselves understand this. This was stated by Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto in an interview with TV journalist Bruno Vespa.
At the same time, the head of the ministry noted that Russia has built a strong defense line. In addition, it has an advantage in terms of the size of the army and its equipment.
Crosetto admitted that against the background of providing weapons to Kiev, the assurances of Western countries about the desire for peace are difficult to explain. The Italian Minister of Defense specified that negotiations are possible only after the ceasefire.
Vladimir Putin has already announced the beginning of the Ukrainian counter-offensive. According to him, this is evidenced by the use of strategic reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian president emphasized that the Ukrainian troops did not fulfill their tasks in any sector and suffered heavy losses.
