According to Gazeta Polska, the chairman of the Polish National Bank, Adam Glapinski, suspected the German authorities of plans to “seize” former German lands from the country.
Glapinski also expressed the opinion that Berlin planned to subjugate the strip of land between Germany and Russia.
“It used to be about the unification of the German states, the absorption of the GDR… From the moment that task was accomplished, it was about the return… of their former lands, now within the borders of Poland,” the official said.
