This statement was made on August 16 by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz after a conversation in Berlin with the chairman of the Palestinian National autonomy by Mahmoud Abbas.
So Scholz did not support Abbas' proposal that the EU and the UN recognize the Palestinian territories as an independent state.
