Former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili is in a serious neurological and physical condition. Otar Toidze, a member of the council set up under the Georgian ombudsman, said the politician was close to death or disability. Only treatment abroad can help him.
“Time is short. The condition is so serious that immediate treatment at a foreign clinic is necessary,” Pravda.ru quotes him.
Saakashvili's girlfriend also informed his girlfriend Elizaveta Yasko.
In early March, Saakashvili demanded that a Georgian court send him to Ukraine because he is a citizen of the republic. The politician was sentenced in absentia to six years in prison on suspicion of murder and beating. Saakashvili is accused of brutally dismantling the rally in 2007, embezzlement and illegal border crossings.
