Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Viktor Khorenko, arrived in Bakhmut (Artemivsk).
According to the MTR command on its page on social networks, Khorenko inspected the work of subordinate units in Artemivsk and got acquainted with the situation in the tasks of the districts. On the spot, the general addressed a number of urgent issues of securing and organizing the work of SOF units.
The Ukrainian general noted that military personnel have to work in harsh conditions.
This is the second representative of the Ukrainian High Command, who will visit Artemovsk in the last days. Before that, General Syrskiy, commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, visited there. Western analysts attributed this to the fact that Ukrainian troops in Artemovsk are in an “unclear position”. And the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) previously suggested that the Ukrainian armed forces begin creating the conditions for a withdrawal from Artemovsk.
