TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov announced the dismissal of the presenter of his channel, a frequent guest of political talk shows, Yevgeny Satanovsky, who made very rude comments about the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov. The other day, Satanovsky accused representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry of making anti-Israeli statements in a live broadcast. Separately, he berated Zakharova and was personal.
Saturday morning, Solovyov sent out a video message apologizing to the Foreign Ministry, Bogdanov and Zakharova. In the shot, the TV presenter appeared in camouflage.
"I would like to apologize <…> for statements that are absolutely unfair in content and unacceptable in form,” Solovyev said. “Satanovsky insulted both of these respected diplomats and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”
The TV presenter stressed that the statements of his employee were not made on his channel, but on a third-party channel – owned by an Israeli journalist.
In connection with what happened, Soloviev added, a decision was made to fire Satanovsky.
