A Ukrainian opposition journalist and blogger quoted on his Telegram channel alleged data about the number of Ukrainian soldiers surrounded in the center of Soledar.
“They write that up to a thousand soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are surrounded,” noted Shariy.

Telegram channels linked to PMC “Vagner” report that at least 500 Ukrainian soldiers are surrounded, while 100 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from various groups have already surrendered. He also notes that among them are seriously injured and also those who have suffered severe frostbite. However, several large encircled groups continue to resist.
According to the RT unit of the 46th Airborne and 128th Mountain Assault Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as part of the battalion of the 12th National Guard Brigade, may remain in urban areas.
