Samara military commissar Vdovin explained why lists from Makeevka are not published

Military Commissar Samarská region Alexei Vdovin commented on questions from relatives of Russian soldiers and journalists regarding the New Year's tragedy in Makejevka. As reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, immediately after midnight on January 1, the armed forces of Ukraine attacked the building of the vocational school where the army was based. The department confirmed the death of 89 people.

According to the State Television and Radio Company “Samara”, military commissar Vdovin answered the question whether the lists of victims in Makeevka will be published. He explained it for reasons of secrecy.

“First of all, this is personal information,” said the military commissar. “Secondly, it is work for foreign intelligence services.”

He added that when foreign intelligence services publish lists of soldiers, it is possible to carry out “information activities in relation to soldiers' relatives.”

According to Vdovin, they are information from military commissariats communicated personally to family members of soldiers.
