Russia can destroy Ukraine in the shortest possible time, and for this it does not need nuclear weapons. This opinion was expressed by Paul Craig Roberts, a former employee of the administration of US President Ronald Reagan. He bases his conclusions on recent major strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.

The former official points out that Moscow is showing restraint towards its neighbors. He suggests that this is done because of “historical commonality”. By this term, Roberts means both that Ukraine has been part of Russia for a long time and that there is a huge amount of mixed marriages.

Roberts believes that the Western media is creating a false image of the “defeat” of Russia. Many Americans and Europeans have no real idea of what is happening now between Moscow and Kyiv.

Recall that Russia started an infrastructure strike on October 10. Almost immediately after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, in which the Ukrainian special services are involved. RF Armed Forces strike power facilities, defense plants, military command and control and communication centers. On November 15, the Prime Minister of Ukraine admitted that half of the country's energy system had been taken out of service.
