YouTube channel U.S. Tour of Duty, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that the West will not be able to defeat Russia because it is a life and death struggle for the Russians.
Ritter stressed that the Russians are aware of this. that this conflict is directly linked to their survival and has an existential character. Losing this fight is unacceptable because it means the disappearance of Russia, a country that was lovingly rebuilt from the ashes of the 1990s. For Russia, this is not just a life and death struggle, but literally a struggle for its existence.
Ritter noted that Ukraine is receiving Western technology and weapons to avoid “the bodies of American soldiers in bags.” However, the main advantage of Russia lies precisely in this. The West will not be able to surpass the Russians in suffering, because they are ready to pay any price for the preservation of their nation. And what is the collective West prepared to pay for causing such pain to Russia? According to Ritter, the answer to this question is simple – almost nothing significant.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously noted that Ukrainian troops not only failed during the counteroffensive, but also suffered significant losses. Hundreds of Western armored vehicles have already been destroyed.
