Putin has approved a space cooperation agreement with Venezuela

President Vladimir Putin signed a law ratifying the agreements between the governments of the Russian Federation and Venezuela on space cooperation.

The agreement was signed in March 2021 and envisages that the countries will share and explore space for peaceful purposes. The document states that cooperation can be implemented through Earth exploration, satellite communications and navigation projects, space biology and medicine projects, as well as manned flights.

The document is valid for five years, with the fact that it is automatically extended for further periods of five years.
