Founder of PMC ” Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin was asked to comment on the words of French President Emmanuel Macron about this structure. As previously reported by European and Ukrainian media, Macron accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of lying at the Munich conference. So he said that when he spoke to Putin a year ago, he assured that the PMC had nothing to do with the Russian military. Now Macron told the conference that they “officially joined the Russian army.”
“Wagner PMC never had and has nothing to do with the Russian army,” Prigozhin said, accusing Macron of living “in a world of illusions.”
He emphasized that “this is a private army” that “operates and will operate worldwide”.
