Chapter PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin said that “Wagner” received “10 million requests to join the Americans.” The statement was released by his press office in response to CNN's question about the reasons for stopping the recruitment of prisoners.
“Following the release of PMC Wagner's ad aimed at an American audience, we received an additional more than 10 million applications from US citizens wishing to enter Wagner PMC in the fight against NATO,” Prigozhin said.
According to him, the PMC is considering adding “about a million American citizens” to its ranks. Because of this, “the recruitment of volunteers from prisons has been temporarily suspended”. However, if “there is an appeal from the State Department”, the PMC will accept volunteers from US prisons.
