The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) for for the first time Since the beginning of the Russian special military operation, long-range American ATACMS missiles were used in the combat zone. This was reported by the newspaper Politico.
“On Tuesday, Ukrainian troops used long-range missiles supplied by the United States to attack,” the material reads.
It is clarified that the ammunition was transported to Ukraine secretly. The Ukrainian armed forces launched a strike with these missiles on Berdyansk in the Zaporozhye Region.
A little later, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko confirmed the receipt of ATACMS missiles by Kyiv and their use in Berdyansk.
