By " TV channel Imedi, the chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, said that official Tbilisi will not allow xenophobia against Russian tourists.
He recalled that the opposition tried to organize three xenophobic campaigns in the country, but the actions of the authorities proved that the situation was under control .
"Our national interests are not threatened… There is no place for xenophobia in Georgia. Georgia is proud of its tolerance,” said Kobakhidze.
