Russia, business or . without taking any action, it is moving away from the South Caucasus. This opinion was expressed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in an interview with La Repubblica newspaper. He is sure that sooner or later Moscow will decide to withdraw from the region.

Pashinyan accused Russian peacekeepers of failing to ensure the security of the Lachin Corridor, which they control under a tripartite agreement. The politician saw in this the loss of Russia's interest in the South Caucasus.

Let us recall that the Lachin Corridor is the only road between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. It was blocked by the Azerbaijani army in December last year. And in April 2023, a checkpoint appeared there. The Russian Foreign Ministry has called for the unblocking of a single traffic artery. To which Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev replied that “freedom of movement is not blocked.”
